Merchants Way

I was tasked with enhancing the appearance of Merchant's Way, a pedestrian passage linking Nine Elms station to New Covent Garden Market, in celebration of the area's rich heritage and ongoing redevelopment.

Featuring produce sold in the fruit, veg and flower market, along with cultural and well known businesses in the area. The artwork had to be both attractive and informative, providing way finding signage. It was a huge task to create such a detailed and piece that covered over 150m of hoarding.

I partnered with Global Street Arts and Galliard Homes who helped on production and content. The result was an impressive 150-meter-long painting inspired by the rich heritage of the local area. To complement the mural, I advised on light projections that served a dual purpose: providing illumination to make the passage feel safer and adding an extra layer of visual appeal to enhance the mural's impact.
